Motivational
Interviewing Training
Motivational Interviewing is rapidly
becoming the preferred method of treatment for individuals with
Substance Use Disorders, Co-occurring Mental Health and Substance
Use Disorders, as well as many other compulsive, medical and
behavior issues.
 Training in Motivational Interviewing includes a
basic course on the model and its application, followed by an
advanced course for developing and using Motivational Interventions
in various treatment settings. A third course for Supervisors focuses on use
of motivational Interviewing in Clinical Supervision.
Training in
Motivational Interviewing has been provided in other settings with
Probation Officers, healthcare settings, smoking cessation and
Welfare Workers. Special training can be designed to fit many other
settings.
